Cypress Gardens last day is November 17th, this Sunday. They will stay closed until March 2009. They will be doing some renovations, improvements, and might possibly start adding to the Water Park. They also don't think they will reopen with any rides, to much of a cost, to maintain, and fix. They plan on moving the main entrance back to where it use to be. Closer to the Ski Show, Gardens and Water Park, which will be their new main attractions!

I really hope that Cypress Gardens does reopen again in March 2009, although I am very skeptical of the press release that was put out by the current owners. It doesn't make sense to close now and reopen in late March. The biggest "season" in Florida is January thru March. Why reopen just when attendance will be going down. Also, the configuration of the park would allow the Amusement area to be closed off while still keeping the Original Gardens and Ski Show open. Renovations could be completed while the park is still open. Cypress Gardens is a Show Skiing landmark and it would be terrible to lose it.

I hope this works out. Have my doubts. :(
