Hey gang,

Classic story of a small town team..this is our first season doing more than 2 shows a year. We're starting to get kinda big and speeding up our show a little bit. I'm wondering what it takes to become a D2 team and maybe compete in a tournament or two. I know everyone must pay USA waterski and be on the roster. But what does the team need to do as a whole?

THere's not much required to enter a tournament. Each tournament has a set of registration submittals. Skier roster, club membership in USAWS, tow boat insurance certificates. Not too bad to round this stuff up.

Is your club in Eastern IA? A good tournament to consider is the Keller Allander invitational in Waterloo. Usually about the middle of June. Or for a later tournament the Midwest regional probably won't be too far away. It seems to bounce between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo.

I would be willing to bet that if you went to the waterloo tournament in June that you would be impressed by the amount of support you would recieve from the host team and the other clubs.
