Are the Difficulty charts being used for all components of an act. Example, prefabs are pyramids. Are you only using the Pyramid Difficulty chart to arrive at your difficulty score? If you have a barefoot montage act, is the Barefoot Difficulty chart being used to determine the difficulty component of your score? Thanks to any judges that can respond to this.

Hi L8 2 practice,
I do not use the difficulty sheets for all components of an act and I'm not sure you ment to use them for flow, execution and spectator appeal as well as difficulty. With that being said, I tend not to use them for prefab pyramids as this act, and I hesitate to use percentages, is more of a boat drivers act. Don't get me wrong there is a lot of difficulty in doing bigger numbers of pyramids, alla Wonder Lakes 5 pyramid arrow or 6 prefabs all at once, I'm just saying this is truly a drivers act. The prefab pyramid(s) are already constructed and at that point it is a hang on,grunt it out type of act. No disrespect to any prefab out there!!!!!!!!

In regards to barefoot montage related to barefoot lines I would say that a montage is a compilation of types of barefooting your team is going to show us later on in your show. Therefore, I tend to not use the difficulty sheets for this exibition as it differs from ,lets say, a 12 person barefoot line or a 6 person back barefoot line to be scored as an act.

Thanks for the question and please remember this is one judges opinion.
Looking forward to next season.

Regarding your response to prefabs-
Do you score a prefab where the bases are wearing strap harnesses lower/higher than those who use handle alone? I think we can all agree that it is easier for the skiers starting with a harness, but it requires better riders/pin pullers.

theother antibetty,
Without seeing the act I would say that I would probably score the difficulty a little lower for the group wearing a harness. With that being said that prefab could do more with that act and score more in difficulty with transitioning to other variations while on the water. But just as a prefab alone it would most likely score less in difficulty.
Thanks for the question.
Duane Snow.
